As well, demohraphic trends are bad news for a separate catholic system. Even “catholics” are showing less support for a separate system (probably a mix of non-practising and highly-orthodox) . The mushy middle of barely-practising Catholics probably like the current system, but their children will be non-practising in 15 years.
