More on WeDay and their “non-support” for contraception. #ottnews @torontostar @nationalpost @cp24 @cbctoronto @hcdsb #toronto #tcot

As a followup to yesterday’s post:

We Org was asked to agree that they don’t publicly support contraception. However, they have decided to mean that to mean political advocacy! It does not. They are 100% of supporters of the UN SDGs and pushing 100% of them on our kids!

““The WE Charity answered accurately that the charity was not involved in any of these matters, expressed that these questions were simply ‘not applicable’ to the charity, and shared formally that this statement of policy of ‘public support’ on these issues outlined above does not affect us,” Ms. Gurley said. “The WE Charity is secular, apolitical and does not have a mandate for political advocacy.”

But they were NOT asked about political advocacy!! They were asked this:

Sanctity of Life

But We Day are HUGE supporters of SDGs. Read the material they co-publishes with the Globe and Mail, and the Toronto Star

Read about their WE Day at the UN!

Hosted by Hollywood triple threat Jordan Fisher, WE Day UN—the first show during WE Day’s Fall tour—will see inspirational speakers (think Chelsea Clinton) to talented performers take the stage to speak about how communities can support the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals through world-changing impacts, just like more than 14,500 schools across the United States, United Kingdom and Canada will be doing through WE’s domestic educational program this academic year. Can you say: Generation WE?
By 2030, ensure universal access to sexual and reproductive health-care services, including for family planning, information and education, and the integration of reproductive health into national strategies and programmes.
Will they PUBLICLY state they do NOT support abortion and contraception as part of the UN SDGs?? The Vatican has!! Stop playing with words. Support does not only mean “political advocacy”. Come clean with Catholics!!!
