#ottnews Weak #OCSB filters allow porn to kids via Yahoo etc

Firstly, 2 good articles for parents to read:

The issue of weak internet filters at OSCB elementary and high schools has been going on for a long time.

Earlier in the yr, Bing searches were wide open:

The provincial government does not take internet filtering seriously:

If you see point 12 of page 27 of this report cea_ocsb_innovation_report-pd  ,

you can see that OCSB folks are also not too serious about internet filters for tween and teen boys:

As you can see below (these screenshots were taken by a friend of our blogging group), when connected to the OCSB network, it is dead easy to search for porn images using the very popular search engine Yahoo. Other search engines also work. The images have been hazed out but original clear screeenshots are available for media (who also don’t seem to care about our children)

Parents can do everything right (eg. Sophos filtering at home, Netnanny, covenant eyes, no smartphone, etc), and then your 14yo boys can grab a tablet and do full on yahoo porn searches at the “Catholic” school!!

Admittedly, a few pages are blocked:
