so this topic is relevant to this blog.
We see that Justin had a grand old time as Mass on Fogo Island. A priest from Africa gave him a hearty welcome. The article would have probably mentioned is Justin did NOT receive Eucharist, so it is fair to assume that he probably did.
On May 16th, Ottawa’s Archbishop published a statement in response to Trudeau’s edict entitled, “Being in Communion with the Catholic Church on Moral Issues”. In a stinging rebuke of Justin Trudeau, the letter states unequivocally, “One may not dissent from these core teachings on life issues and be considered a Catholic in good standing.” Archbishop Prendergast instructed all parish priests in his diocese to make the letter available to parishioners on the upcoming Sunday.
It looks like Justin came to a quiet agreement with his local Bishop in Ottawa to NOT receive communion (and that applies everywhere).
There is a rumour amongst the Ottawa political hack class (of which I was once a part). It seems the rumour is that Cardinal Collins has written to the Prime Minister advising him not to present himself for Holy Communion in the Archdiocese of Toronto. The liberal lapdogs are outraged, – how dare this Churchman tell the Dear Leader he can’t take the cracker!
Perhaps, Justin got confused after the letter from the Toronto Cardinal and thought he only had to refrain from receiving communion in Toronto and Ottawa and he was fine to receive elsewhere? Perhaps, he thought that nobody would notice on Fogo Island? Perhaps, now that his children are older he can’t explain to them why he is not allowed to receive?
Justin has been pushing abortion overseas, taking away doctors conscience rights about euthanasia, pushing the gay marriage agenda in Canada and overseas. Why does he think he can receive Eucharist?
The media were all aflutter when Harper incorrectly took Catholic communion, but will they ignore Justin’s communion reception? He is just as banned as Harper from receiving communion.
