3 messages from the Pope to #OCSB based on US Visit

Pope Little Sisters of the Poor

3 messages from the Pope to OCSB based on US Visit:

Let’s look at three things he did:

1) Private meeting with the Little Sisters of the Poor to show support for their fight against having to pay for contraceptives

2) Private meeting with Kim Davis to support her conscience rights against gay “marriage”

3) The Pope calls Mayor of Rome a “pretend Catholic” for his support of gay marriage etc

Pope’s Messages:

1) STOP paying for contraception for your teachers!

2) Do NOT teach that gay “marriage” is “normal” to Grade 3 children as part of the Wynne/Levin Sex Ed

3) Look yourselves in the mirror and see if you are a pretend Catholic, only “professing to be Catholic”

PS: great new podcast:

Listen to an interview with Dr. Janet Smith about the new book on pastoral care of people with same-sex attraction, “Living the Truth in Love”.

More proof that Catholic and Public systems will have same sex ed. #OCSB

First a great post by Lou:

Now more proof that the 2 systems will essentially have same curriculum (as Wynne/Scandals insist):

This is what the government says about this JOINT toolkit:

Catholic Principals’ Council of Ontario (CPCO) and Ontario Principals’ Council (OPC) have jointly produced an HPE Administrator Toolkit to build understanding about the updated curriculum’s key changes and to support dialogue with parents and the community. The Toolkit includes a Questions & Answers document, presentation materials (slides) for staff and for parents and a Toolkit Guide (with tips and strategies). Materials have been tailored to Catholic and public system needs and are available at http://www.cpco.on.ca/index.php/public/ and http://www.principals.ca/

Please  note that both councils have kept these toolkits SECRET and for members only. Because parents just can’t handle reading them on their own. 😉

Same sex parenting, contraception, “safe sex” (no such thing with condoms), EIE, Accepting Schools Act (Bill 13) etc etc

Remember: The curriculum is the SAME in both public and “catholic” schools.

2015: Liz Sandals: The curriculum is the same in public schools and Catholic schools—this is the Ontario curriculum. In the case of the Catholic schools, they also do a lot of curriculum development through an organization called ICE, which is the Institute for Catholic Education, and that’s the Catholic teachers, the Catholic principals, the Catholic directors—it’s all the stakeholders in the Catholic education system. The Bishops are represented there too. So we work with ICE on the development of their curriculum. They will make some components of the curriculum part of their family life course.

In terms of (what) your parents would want to know, the Catholic trustees, the Catholic teachers, the Catholic principals, the Catholic directors have all been quite supportive of the curriculum.

Liz Sandals has also said this:

2015: ” that while the Catholic school system will be able to provide “commentary” on the government-mandated sex-ed through its own family life program, it won’t be allowed to change anything and must “deliver” the sex-ed as written.”

See OPHEA and ICE beside each other on the Ministry Pamphlet:

What the “Gender Identity” movement really means. #OCSB

How long before this is shown at a “show and tell” or a teacher uses this a “prop” in Grade 3 classes of gender identity?

Pope in UN address condemns Ideological Colonization in EIE/Sex Ed . #OCSB

To review his past statements on Ideological Colonization:
Pope Francis: Gender Theory is demonic:
.. and the Pope doesn’t mean “Mom and Dad and 4 children” when he refers to “anomalous lifestyles”!!
Pope’s Address to the UN
“… or for carrying out an ideological colonization by the imposition of anomalous models and lifestyles which are alien to people’s identity and, in the end, irresponsible.”
“The common home of all men and women must continue to rise on the foundations of a right understanding of universal fraternity and respect for the sacredness of every human life, of every man and every woman, the poor, the elderly, children, the infirm, the unborn, the unemployed, the abandoned, those considered disposable because they are only considered as part of a statistic.”
“Consequently, the defence of the environment and the fight against exclusion demand that we recognize a moral law written into human nature itself, one which includes the natural difference between man and woman, and absolute respect for life in all its stages and dimensions.”

He has effectively condemned the gender-twisting EIE and sex ed program being pushed in Ontario “catholic” schools.
He has also effectivvely condemned abortafacient contraceptives (paid for by catholic school boards), abortion, and embryo killing via “research” (eg. Terry Fox Foundation)

#OCSB schools raising $$ for experiments on human embryos

via the Terry Fox Foundation. ESCR- Embryonic Stem Cell Research

Lots of OCSB schools are doing it: Holy Trinity, Sacred Heart etc

And today the Pope said to the US Congress:

“The Golden Rule also reminds us of our responsibility to protect and defend human life at every stage of its development.”

WFMP conference and EIE and LGBT. #OCSB

First, a strange tweet from a parents group meeting tonight. Apparently, the OCSB is now making a prioritized focus on  “social and emotional learning”. Not academics, not reading and math. Emotional learning

Social learning

However, it does make sense if you look at this upcoming major Ontario-wide catholic conference. Many of the topics seems especially flaky.

Have a look at the program below. The head of ICE talking about same-sex attraction, Bentham on EIE, Infamous Welbes-Godin on “Family Diversity”

New disturbing sex ed material for #OCSB

Very disturbing sex ed material from the Ministry, ICE, SEICCAN, OESC etc.

It all points to a full court press on gay marriage, gender fluidity etc right from the very early grades at “catholic schools”

2) http://www.edugains.ca/newsite/curriculum/elementaryresources/healthphysed.html

Check out under resources: “Learning about Diversity, including Gender Identity and Sexual Orientation”

LearningAboutDiversity <– Word DOC

Grade 4-6: ” Gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation are referenced within a broader context for learning in junior grades, as students are learning skills and strategies for healthy and respectful relationships and for responding to situations involving bullying or harassment.”

Grade 7-8: “As students begin learning about their sexual health, gender identity and sexual orientation is included as one factor to consider as students are learning and making decisions about their health.. More in depth learning about gender identity, gender expression and sexual orientation is included in Grades 8, a time of transition and change for students, to support their building understanding of themselves and others.

Grade 9:  “Expectations were added and expanded upon from the 1999 curriculum in response to research and consultation in 2007-2010 review which flagged the need to address myths and misconceptions related to sexuality. Feedback also highlighted the need to address heterosexism and misconceptions related to sexuality.”

CIA: What myths and misconceptions??

BTW, here is the Catholic Church teaching on gender identity and expression:

“transsexual identity reveals in a public way an attitude opposite to the moral imperative of solving the problem of sexual identity according to the truth of one’s own sexuality.”

Page after page of scripture cherry-picking to justify GSAs etc. They like to quote “John Shea, theologian”.

He has now been kicked out of Boston College for his anti-Catholic views on women “priests” etc:

Lots of disturbing things, including a redefinition of chastity by Rolheiser:

“Chastity is normally defined as something to do with sex, namely, a certain innocence, purity, discipline, or even celibacy regarding sex. This however is too narrow. Chastity… has to do with the limits and appropriateness of all experiencing, the sexual included. To be chaste means to experience things, all things, respectfully and to drink them in only when we are ready for them. We break chastity when we experience anything irreverently or prematurely” (Ron Rolheiser, The Shattered Lantern: Rediscovering a Felt Presence of God, 1995).

Not one quote from the Catechism (eg. CCC 2357-2359)..

2357 Homosexuality refers to relations between men or between women who experience an exclusive or predominant sexual attraction toward persons of the same sex. It has taken a great variety of forms through the centuries and in different cultures. Its psychological genesis remains largely unexplained. Basing itself on Sacred Scripture, which presents homosexual acts as acts of grave depravity,141 tradition has always declared that “homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered.”142 They are contrary to the natural law. They close the sexual act to the gift of life. They do not proceed from a genuine affective and sexual complementarity. Under no circumstances can they be approved.

2358 The number of men and women who have deep-seated homosexual tendencies is not negligible. This inclination, which is objectively disordered, constitutes for most of them a trial. They must be accepted with respect, compassion, and sensitivity. Every sign of unjust discrimination in their regard should be avoided. These persons are called to fulfill God’s will in their lives and, if they are Christians, to unite to the sacrifice of the Lord’s Cross the difficulties they may encounter from their condition.

2359 Homosexual persons are called to chastity. By the virtues of self-mastery that teach them inner freedom, at times by the support of disinterested friendship, by prayer and sacramental grace, they can and should gradually and resolutely approach Christian perfection.

Pastoral Guidelines

They cherry-pick one line from PGASOSSO (Pastoral Guidelines, but do NOT use any other quotes, such as:

Pastoral Guidelines <– PDF

The Church’s general teaching on homosexuality is summed up in the Catechism of the Catholic Church. An irreversible homosexual orientation is not sinful, since it is not sought by homosexual persons. A tendency, desire or inclination are not choices and are therefore not wrong in themselves. There is a real difference between sexual desire and the decision to act on it. The Church makes a critical distinction between orientation, and conduct or behaviour. The Church clearly teaches that homosexual acts are immoral. Included under homosexual acts are genital sexual activity and erotic relational behaviour with a person of the same sex.
Thus, romantic behaviour between homosexual persons is morally unacceptable, because it points toward future sexual relationships that are non-marital. Romantic behaviour is not confined to a set of defined activities. It is a description of one-to-one relational behaviour which involves sexual attraction. Romantic behaviour is quite different from the behaviour of simple friendship.

Adolescent students are not always the best judges of their own sexual orientation. When a student discloses a same-sex attraction, it does not necessarily mean that the student is homosexual…
While the Church respects an individual who has done his or her best to come to a correct moral judgment, it is not obligated to accommodate a decision based on an individual’s erroneous conscience. This includes a student who blamelessly arrives at the mistaken conclusion that homosexual acts can be morally good. There is an objective truth concerning moral issues; and error, even when blameless, does not change the nature of this truth.

Pastoral care is marked by concern, warmth, love, compassion and sensitivity. It does not, however, encourage or condone, even temporarily, objectively immoral conduct out of misplaced compassion, since doing so would be to mislead the student gravely

15. We encourage the Bishops, then, to provide pastoral care in full accord with the teaching of the Church for homosexual persons of their dioceses. No authentic pastoral programme will include organizations in which homosexual persons associate with each other without clearly stating that homosexual activity is immoral. A truly pastoral approach will appreciate the need for homosexual persons to avoid the near occasions of sin.
We would heartily encourage programmes where these dangers are avoided. But we wish to make it clear that departure from the Church’s teaching, or silence about it, in an effort to provide pastoral care is neither caring nor pastoral. Only what is true can ultimately be pastoral. The neglect of the Church’s position prevents homosexual men and women from receiving the care they need and deserve.

It is ironic that Jan Bentham is presenting on the great new sex ed program to the OCSB Board tonight. It is even more radical than the one five years ago ( a lot more transgender stuff).

A mere five years ago (a second in God’s eye)

A senior Ottawa Catholic board official says her schools will not adhere to the new curriculum, contrary to Premier Dalton McGuinty’s contention earlier in the day that the program applied to “all students in publicly funded schools, including Catholic schools.”

“Mr. McGuinty seems to be misinformed here,” said Jan Bentham, co-ordinator of religious and family life education for the Ottawa Catholic School Board. “The ministry consulted with ICE (the Institute for Catholic Education) and they were very aware there would be some content we would not be delivering in Catholic schools.”

The most obvious element rejected by Catholic schools will be a third-grade lesson on “visible and invisible differences” that features discussion of homosexuality.
Homosexuality won’t be raised in Catholic schools until Grade 8, according to Bentham, when it will be covered “from a faith perspective,” she said. Catholic teaching considers homosexual acts to be “disordered.”…….

…. In an interview, ArchbishopPrendergast said he didn’t believe in the need for a revised, 21st century curriculum that begins with lessons on body parts in Grade 1 and explicitly mentions “vaginal and anal intercourse” in Grade 7.

Provincial officials say the new, more direct language in younger grades is a tacit acknowledgment that adolescents are sexually active at a younger age than in the past.

“I’m not totally in favour of that (approach),” Prendergast said. “I believe one of the most important things for children in learning about family life and sexuality issues is to have it in the context of a warm family that explains things to them and helps them to deal with that.

“I think parents are the first teachers of faith and moral issues to children,” he added.

Archbishop Prendergast has remained firmly against the sex ed program, just like 5 years ago. But Bentham, ICE, etc have now switched sides. Parents: do NOT be fooled by the soothing words from ICE! Save your children!

Sexually explicit lesbian novel The Color Purple taught at Holy Trinity #OCSB

There are SO many good books out there to teach. (http://www.ipnovels.com/novels/)

Yet, Holy Trinity has again chosen The Color Purple!! What makes this school one iota different than a public school?

Is this book chosen to promote EIE (equity and inclusive education) across the curriculum?

Equity across ALL curriculum

Please note that the movie is quite toned down from the book:

http://www.contactmusic.com/news/spielberg-i-was-shy-about-the-colorpurple-sex-scenes_1269946 )

Steven Spielberg received severe criticism for toning down lesbian scenes inThe Color Purple because fans of Alice Walker‘s novel felt they should have been more explicit. The moviemaker admits he felt uncomfortable with the description of sex scenes between characters played by Whoopi Goldberg and Margaret Avery in the book, and chose to play the affair down in the film.”

After Celie tells Shug of her sad past and grieves over the painful memories, Shug comforts her by putting her arms around her and then kissing her. Celie responds and they make love. Walker makes the lesbian sex seem comfortable and natural, especially in contrast to the brutal sex that Celie has endured. In fact, it is a healing process for Celie.

“The story is written, in very visual language detail, regarding incest relationships, masturbation, lesbian attractions, vulgar language, and derogatory terms, to name a few of the topics.”

Dear Catholic parents,

The problem you have run into is all too common. I know that a number of times parents have complained to some of our English teachers about the kinds of books they are using with our Catholic youth. If the teacher would just have some common sense and a genuinely Catholic mindset there wouldn’t be any bad books chosen. The book you mentioned “The Color Purple” by Alice Walker, a militant lesbian, is indeed pornography and should never be read in any high school, public or private. You have every right to be morally indignant about having politically correct trash used in a purportedly Catholic school. There so many wonderful contemporary and classic Catholic novelists that could be used instead. …. You could also take a look at the Ignatius Press catalogue which has a fair amount of good Catholic literature”

The author is quite the nutbar.. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_Walker

In a June 2011 interview, Walker described the United States and Israel as “terrorist organizations“, stating “When you terrorize people, when you make them so afraid of you that they are just mentally and psychologically wounded for life — that’s terrorism.”Walker supports the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions campaign against Israel. In 2012, Walker refused to authorize a Hebrew translation of her book The Color Purple, citing what she called Israel’s “apartheid state.”

This is how Alice Walker’s daughter describes her:

She’s revered as a trail-blazing feminist and author Alice Walker touched the lives of a generation of women. A champion of women’s rights, she has always argued that motherhood is a form of servitude. But one woman didn’t buy in to Alice’s beliefs  –  her daughter, Rebecca, 38.

Here the writer describes what it was like to grow up as the daughter of a cultural icon, and why she feels so blessed to be the sort of woman 64-year-old Alice despises  –  a mother.

#OCSB and Sex Ed info on website

Remember the the in camera meeting that the school board did NOT have?? Our ally was told that Mardi deKemp (Manager of Comms for the whole board) misunderstood and was verbally corrected (hence no record of the correction can be found)

But now, the sex ed info is already on their website.. Not easily found… need to go through a pull down menu – very discreet.

It is basically verbatim from ICEOnt.

Here is a commentary on it 2 weeks ago:
The website says lots of “nice” things:
“The Institute for Catholic Education (ICE) views the new curriculum as an opportunity for parents and teachers to talk to students about a distinctively Catholic view of human life, sexuality, marriage, and family.”
Students also review basic information about sexually transmitted infections, and they are introduced to the topic of family planning from the perspective of living in harmony with the gift of fertility”
It all sounds good, until you read the actual outlines and you see things like condoms, gay marriage, gender identity and gender expression etc
For example:
“C1.5 identify ways of preventing STIs, including HIV, and/or
unintended pregnancy, such as delaying first intercourse and other
sexual activities until a person is older and using condoms consistently
if and when a person becomes sexually active”
Also, don’t forget that this is just the ICE “commentary”. The actual curriculum from the Ministry that MUST be taught is actually worse.
PS: The EIE curriculum is across all classes – you might your child reading “Drama” by Raina Telgemeier in English or practising a same-sex lover’s spat in oral French (this real example is from another Board)
PPS: One hilarious line from the OCSB post is:
“Should you have concerns about the material being covered in class, the first step is to speak with your school principal. They know your child and are prepared to answer any questions you may have.”
Really? A principal with 300 children in his school KNOWS my child and know where she is developmentally and emotionally and spiritually? Sounds like the “co-parenting” line from the Waterloo board:
PPPS: There will be a presentation tomorrow to the Board on sex ed:
The first line appears to talk about children from gay parents (ie “within the context they are living”). And goodness is in all familial relationships? Pope Francis has declared samesexmarriage” a diabolical effort of “the Father of Lies”!
Lots of  talk about equity and inclusivity – the usual “code words” for anti-Catholic positions.
And then the HUGE insult that parents CANNOT fulfill their parental responsibilities alone!
However the Church teaches this:
Given the delicacy and sensitivity of this particular kind of subject matter, the Church has constantly and consistently held that this kind of education in chastity is best done privately, in the heart of the family, as Vatican II taught.

Hot 899 Transgender and the #OCSB

Given that “Gender Identity” will be taught to Grade 3s (age 8), one needs to read up on these theories.

The blog has recently been reading an absoutely fascinating article:

We know that the local pop station Hot 899 is very popular in #OCSB (dances, a classroom calling themselves “Hot 899 “hotties”” etc)

The radio station has done gay marriages on the radio, paid for IVF, and now they are paying $40,000 for an attempted sex change (one cannot change your sex) for a winning contestant.

“Surgery can only create the appearance of the other sex. Dr George Burou, a Casablancan physician who has operated on over seven hundred American men, explained, “I don’t change men into women. I transform male genitals into genitals that have a female aspect. All the rest is in the patient’s mind.”

Hot899 present it as the “new normal”. It most certainly is NOT!

Will the OCSB continue to have Hot899 into schools? Will children then listen to Hot 899 and find yet more non-Catholic beliefs?? Parents: Wake up!

Remember what Archbishop Prendergast has said:

“Guests and partners must give an authentic Catholic witness that will inspire and encourage, not a counter-witness that will discourage and confuse,” he added. “No matter how great their achievements in politics, business, sports, science, or the arts, we should not invite to our schools as guest speakers, or give awards to, those who provide a counter-witness to the Gospel.”

#OCSB and Gay “Graphic Novels”

Why are children in Grade 6 reading cartoon books (so-called GNs – graphic novels). the book is at a Grade 2-3 reading level!

This book is about twins who both claim to be gay. And another with questionable sexuality (bi?). One of the boys dresses as a girl and kisses another boy.

This was apparently taught last year at St Isidore. Don’t think that “sex ed” is only taught as part of Religion class or Phys Ed. The whole EIE (equity and inclusive education) means that anti-Catholic things are taught across the entire curriculum.

St Isidore Grade 5 and 6 Drame Raina

“Our first title to discuss from the YALSA Hub Reading Challenge is Raina Telgemeier’s Drama. Drama has been singled out as one of the Great Graphic Novels for Teens Top Ten for 2013, and was also selected as aStonewall Book Award Honor book.

As a refresher, the Great Graphic Novels for Teens Selection list showcases titles “recommended for those ages 12-18, meet the criteria of both good quality literature and appealing reading for teens,” and every year they also select the top ten titles from their longer list.  The Stonewall Book Award selects titles “honored for exceptional merit relating to the gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender experience.”

1 Star reviews:

Tip of the iceberg, parents, tip of the iceberg. This blog could publish many more stories like this.

Equity across ALL curriculum

#OCSB and the “Inquisition”

Even the anti-Catholic BBC acknowledges that the stories about the Inquisition are 99% myth:

Yet, a very quick search finds books like “Fanatics” by William Bell. It is in the Library of OCSB school Frank Ryan (intermediate). Probably in other schools too.

http://ryalibrary.blogspot.ca/search/label/Spanish%20Inquisition (even the school librarian loved the book!)

Here is a review showing how the book pushes the myth of the Inquistion (and thereby helping to destroy the Catholic faith of innocent 12 year old readers!)

Bell’s parallel plots are fast moving, his characterization is sound, and the love between his two main characters is affecting. His articulation of the theme, however, is rather heavy handed. We’re fairly regularly bopped over the head with the notion that democracy suffers and intolerance thrives when small, exclusive groups of men press for adherence to a single religious truth and for the establishment of a theocracy. This was the case during the (Catholic Church’s) Inquisition and it’s the case now when Islamist adherents use terror and torture to make others toe their lines. Generally, the book is well done. Certainly, it’s highly respectful of young readers’ intelligence, based as it is on historical figures from the time of the Inquisition. An added note: Bell’s book works well without the (sometimes troublesome) language and graphic sexual scenes that are often seen in young adult texts. However, some of his ideas may still ruffle the feathers of fundamentalist readers…so the book is subversive in its own neat way–challenging younger readers with its more liberal ideas about religion, sexuality, feminism, and marriage/family life.

Parents: there are many books that should NOT be “catholic” schools. It reminds me of this:

Conservative Men in Conservative Dresses: The World of CrossDressers Is for the Most Part a World of Traditional Men, Traditional
Marriages, and Truths Turned Inside Out.

Conservative Men in Conservative Dresses — Amy Bloom article

The Atlantic ran this article in, I believe, its April 2002 issue. It’s now become mysteriously hard to find. It’s about straight male crossdressers — autogynephiles. Many of the people described in the article will now, I am sure, be identifying as women due to the explosion of the trans movement. But the underlying phenomenon is the same. These are the kinds of people we are expected to accept uncritically as women.

Some highlights:

“Engineers and accountants, truck drivers and computer programmers, disproportionately represented among the retired military, predominately Christian and predominately conservative (far more moderate Republicans than liberal Democrats), these men go to get-togethers in Kansas City, in Pittsburgh, in Seattle, all over America…

“[A crossdressing Baptist minister’s wife]…is not pleased that he is so grateful to her for trying to believe that he cross-dresses only because he cannot express his warm and nurturing self while wearing trousers…

“The men I met were by and large decent, kind, intelligent, and willing to talk openly. Their wives were the same, many of them under the additional pressure of having to make the best accommodation they can to a marriage they did not envision and do not prefer. But I do think that passion for a person, or a capacity to love people, is different from a sexual impulse that is directed toward an object or an act and that is greater than the desire for any person. And although one could argue that all desire focused on an object or even an act is a fetish, I don’t think so — any more than I think that gender-reassignment surgery (even when it’s known as gender-confirmation surgery) is no different from a tummy tuck. The greatest difficulty people have with cross-dressers, I think, is that cross-dressers wear their fetish, and the gleam in their eyes, however muted by time or habit, the unmistakable presence of a lust being satisfied or a desire being fulfilled in that moment, in your presence, even by your presence, is unnerving…

“The cross-dressers of Tri-Ess [the Society for the Second Self] insist that cross-dressing is not about sexuality, and therefore not about sex. They are right about the first, and we can all stop assuming that any man who wears a dress is gay. But they are not right about the second, and their assertion, their defense, that cross-dressing is their creative expression of both genders is unsettling, because it is at such odds with their behavior, their natures, and their marriages. These men are as far from being gender warriors and feminists as George W. himself. As one wife said to me, ‘For twenty years he couldn’t help with the dishes because he was watching football. Now he can’t help because he’s doing his nails. Is that different?’ For these men, the woman within is entirely the Maybelline version, not the Mother Teresa version, not the Liv Ullman version, and not even the Tracey Ullman version. There is no innate grasp of female friendship, of the female insistence on relatedness, of the female tradition of support and accommodation for one’s partner and giving precedence to the relationship overall. If there were that kind of understanding, rather than shopping for accessories and watching tapes on how to walk in heels, these guys would be unable to ask their wives to go through this cross-dressing life with them — and everyone, husbands and wives, knows it. They know that if any of the women insisted on wearing three-piece suits or baseball uniforms in public, and asked their husbands to accept hairy legs, hairy underarms, and jockstraps as part of their sex life, the husbands would not be rushing off to join spousal support groups while cheerfully spending the family’s money on bespoke shirts and expensive glue-on facial hair. The marriages would be over.”

Was the #OCSB “In Camera” Board meeting on SexEd legal?

A friend of the CIA did an FOI and forwarded it to us. Several of us in the CIA blog are on very tight budgets (eg. university tuition for kids), so we appreciate the work of our ally!

  1. The Board appears to moving full speed ahead with the ICE material for sex ed this year
  2. They continue to monitor “Conservative Catholics” (btw, there is no such thing, only orthodox Catholic and dissenting Catholic) and groups like “coalition of concerned parents” (a muslim dominated group in Toronto). Remember, taxpayers are paying the salary of this OCSB monitor.
  3. Most concerning is that there was a Closed “In Camera” Board meeting on Sept 8 on the topic of sex ed. One item for the meeting was the ICE material for inclusion on the OCSB website.

Whether or not, you support radical new sex ed, you should be concerned about the closed door meeting of the Board!

These are the ONLY reasons under the Education Act to have a closed door meeting:

Allowable reasons:

Click to access en_ch_7.pdf

• the security of the property of the board

• the disclosure of intimate, personal, or financial information about a member of the board or one of its committees, an employee or prospective employee of the board, or a pupil or his or her parent or guardian

• the acquisition or disposal of a school site

• negotiations with employees of the board

• litigation affecting the board. [s. 207(2)]

A school board must make all its decisions in public at a regular or special meeting of the board.

So, how does sex ed discussion even remotely fit under one of the above reasons?

Perhaps, sex ed has something to do the sale of a school?

As taxpayers and parents, we demand to know:

  • What was exactly discussed at the private sex ed meeting?
  • What decisions were made? We have not seen these decisions brought to the Open Board meeting for vote
  • How many other closed door Board meetings have occurred that were NOT for the allowable 5 reasons?
  • What will the provincial Ombudsman say?

The OCSB annual report always says this: “The production of this report supports our commitment to openness, transparency and accountability in the education system.”.

How are closed Board meetings on sex ed showing this commitment?

Please contact the media and your local trustee and demand the details of this meeting and their sex ed plans! What other boards are having closed Board meetings to get radical new sex ed into Ontario schools?

Please share!

UPDATE: Wed morning: In the interests of fairness: We report this new communication from OCSB:

“Further to your email below, the “sex ed for closed board meeting, Sept 8” referred to in the staff email of Aug 31st, was misunderstood by a staff member and was not intended for the Committee of the Whole.
There will be a report coming to the Regular Board on the Physical and Health Education Curriculum and the Family Life Curriculum in the near future. The Board Agenda is posted to the OCSB website on the Monday before each Board Meeting.”

Why is #OCSB /ACBO/ICE ignoring Vatican II and obeying Wynne?

We have written before about how the ICE “Fully Alive” sex ed program is bad for children. One Ontario bishop called it “child abuse”.

Fully Alive is about to get even worse with gender-bending, pro-gay-marriage and contraception push by the Ontario government (Wynne/Levin). Not even possible to have a “Catholic lens” on it.

Here is an interesting article on it:

Why is Roger Lawler and the ACBO Bishops (and ICE) disobeying the following Vatican document:? Please note the Wynne/Levin are perversely designed for Grade 3 onwards (not Grade 5.. that is “old hat”)

In 1995, the Pontifical Council for the Family issued The Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality: Guidelines for Education within the Family (TMHS), a document meant to guide Catholic families in the proper way to form their children in this area. The late Kenneth Whitehead, a Catholic author and former assistant secretary of education in the Reagan administration, summarized the document:

Given the delicacy and sensitivity of this particular kind of subject matter, the Church has constantly and consistently held that this kind of education in chastity is best done privately, in the heart of the family, as Vatican II taught. This should take into strict account the individual stage of development of each child thus being educated — TMHS has a long, scientifically accurate, and very useful section on Children’s Principal Stages of Development, which, among other things, reaffirms the importance of the child’s latency period (although it does not use this particular term). The latency period, of course, is the time in the young person’s development when the explicit information about the facts of life should precisely not be given — although most modern school programs are specifically and perversely designed to give it at this very time (usually the fifth grade) in order to break down the child’s natural defenses.

Parents: Wake up and save your childrens’ souls (and your own too!)). Opt out is NOT an option. The EIE curriculum is spread across the year and the day.

Equity across ALL curriculum

no opt out

PEACE Ontario is now collecting stories of various things being taught THIS week.

Here is one from a school board:

French Class: Talking about ‘amour”. Grade 7 boy had an ‘improv warm up’ where they picked same sex partners and were to pretend having a ‘lovers quarrel’.

How will this new curriculum impact what is taught in Catholic schools?

Imagine if the #OCSB had an MOU for parents?

There are no state-run (ie. Wynne-driven) Catholic schools in the USA. There are over 2million children in parochial schools (private from the government) in the US.

This is an example of the MOU for parents from Philadelphia CATHOLIC schools.

Catholics in the USA take these papal quotes SERIOUSLY:

Why not Canadians?

PS: What percentage of Gay Pride marching OECTA teachers would be willing to sign a morality clause like this one from Ohio??

#OCSB Holy Trinity and their Radical Socialist Major

Left Handed Clenched Fist Social Justice

This is symbolic, but it does show that these groups prefer using Socialist symbols as opposed to anything

Non-profit/Social Justice SHSM (Specialist High Skills Majors) is a course stream.
This is the man who designed the leftist salute:

Are these students and staff followers of Christ or Che Guevara? Note
that this school has sent (in the past) students to El Salvador to meet a
hard-core lefttist group “Equipo Maiz” who are big supporters of Che,
Cuba etc
