CLC Analysis of new sex ed:
As previously reported here:
Education Minister Liz Sandals stated on TVO’s The Agenda yesterday that Catholic schools will not be able to opt out of the curriculum being forced upon Ontario’s schools by lesbian Premier, Kathleen Wynne.
“There is one curriculum document, and it’s our expectation that all four systems [English and French Catholic, English and French public] will be using the same curriculum document,” she said.
Sandals said that while the Catholic school system will be able to provide “commentary” on the government-mandated sex-ed through its own family life program, it won’t be allowed to change anything and must “deliver” the sex-ed as written.
Now the latest update from the Institute shows that they will be teaching 100% of the sex ed curriculum (sex ed mechanics, gay families, gender identity weirdness etc.) They will just providing a bit of “through a Catholic lens” or context and some student teacher prompts.
Expect some to be like this:
1) “Children, we all know that the Catholic faith teaches about the dignity of the person and the importance of the family… Well, let’s learn about Johnny having 2 Moms!”
2) “Children, we know about the dignity of the person and we don’t want any of you to get sick or hurt…so let’s talk about condoms and how to have safer anal sex”
This is the latest announcement from ICE:
“The intention is to provide materials that will assist elementary teachers to deliver all general and specific expectations of the Human Development and Sexual Health component..”
“Materials will include appropriate examples and teacher prompts to correspond with each expectation, and will include ‘supplements’ to the teacher resource binders for each grade, grades 1-8 of the Fully Alive series, allowing teachers to seamlessly integrate these supports into their existing Fully Alive teacher resources.”
“Communication materials to introduce the curriculum expectations and demonstrate linkages between Health and Physical Education, Grades 1-8 and Grades 9-12, the Ontario Catholic School Graduate Expectations, the Family Life Education curriculum, Fully Alive, and other Catholic resources.
Materials will include parent pamphlets, brochures, and guides for working with parents and community stakeholders.”
WHAT A DISASTER this will be! Genderbread men, etc etc
